EMBASSY OF GREECE

The building currently housing the Embassy of Greece was purchased by Triland Development early in 1996 only months after the signing of the Dayton Accords, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The purchase of this historic building represented the first real estate property to be purchased in Bosnia & Herzegovina by a 100% foreign-controlled entity.  The structure itself stands in the heart of Sarajevo majestically overlooking the Miljacka River and the offices of the Bosnian Presidency.

Constructed in 1908 in the traditional Austro-Hungarian style of the late 19th - early 20th Century - this simple yet elegant building was heavily damaged during the 1992-96 Balkan War.  Utilizing photos taken by the original owner of the edifice in 1908 and plans from the Sarajevo City archives, Triland Development carefully renovated this historic building to its original splendor.

In 1997, the Hellenic Republic of Greece made Triland's first project in BiH it's Embassy. At the request of the Embassy of Greece, in 2002 Triland added an additional wing to the building and renovated the exterior to meet the demands of Greece's obligation to serve as the head of the European Union for the 1st half of 2003
